Job Summary

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Clinical Director - Registered Nurse to lead and oversee the clinical operations within our long-term care facility. This pivotal role combines clinical expertise with leadership acumen to ensure the delivery of exceptional patient care, compliance with regulatory standards, and effective management of nursing staff. The Clinical Director will serve as a key driver in fostering a compassionate, safe, and efficient environment that prioritizes resident well-being and staff development. This full-time position offers an exciting opportunity for a motivated nursing professional to make a meaningful impact on residents’ lives while advancing their leadership career.

Responsibilities

Provide clinical oversight and leadership for all nursing services, ensuring high-quality resident care aligned with state and federal regulations.
Develop, implement, and monitor individualized care plans tailored to each resident’s needs, including memory care and hospice services.
Supervise nursing staff, including hiring, training, evaluating performance, and managing shift schedules to maintain optimal staffing levels.
Ensure compliance with healthcare regulations such as HIPAA, long-term care standards, Medicare requirements, and documentation review procedures.
Oversee medical records management using Electronic Medical Records (EMR) and Electronic Health Records (EHR) systems to maintain accurate documentation of patient care activities.
Conduct regular audits of medical records and documentation to uphold regulatory compliance and quality standards.
Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to coordinate resident care, manage care plans, and address complex medical needs involving physiology and anatomy knowledge.
Lead efforts in staff education on medical terminology, regulatory updates, and best practices in patient care management.
Manage regulatory inspections and ensure adherence to long-term care facility regulations while fostering a culture of continuous improvement.
Support the integration of new technologies and EMR/EHR systems to streamline clinical workflows and enhance patient outcomes.

Ability to adhere to work schedule and manage time appropriately. Ability to effectively manage the activities and personnel in the facility. Knowledge of current nursing matters relating to healthcare management including QAPI. Ability to utilize resources in an organized and effective manner.
Clinical Performance
Participates in patient care activities adhering to the requirements of the Operating Room RN and/or the Preop/PACU RN job descriptions when providing direct patient care.
Establishes implements and evaluates quality and standards of patient care in conjunction with medical staff and clinical staff.
Develops patient care protocols, preoperative and postoperative assessment procedures, nursing policies and procedures, physician standing orders and standard discharge instructions.
Evaluates nursing staff documentation and patient care through review of medical records.

Actively participates in planning and designing policies and procedures in collaboration with appropriate staff members.
Budgets and allocates resources according to priorities and stays within established guidelines.
Identifies work related improvement opportunities and analyzes them to identify causes and find solutions.
Acts decisively to implement solutions to resolve critical issues or improve processes.
Communicates clear understanding of job responsibilities, task objectives, deadlines and performance expectations.
Disseminates relevant information about decisions, plans and activities to people that need it for job performance.
Management of Facility/Staff

Evaluates the performance of individuals through timely completion of competency assessments and skill checks.

Fiscal Management
Assists in preparation of annual budget for Governing Body approval.
Actively participates in budget/financial problem solving to promote fiscal responsibility.
Directs staff to regularly consider opportunities for revenue increases and expense decreases.
Budgets and allocates resources according to priorities and strives to stay within established guidelines.
Professional Development/Facility Promotion
Develops contacts with people who are a source of information and support.
Maintains contacts through periodic interactions including visits, telephone calls, correspondence, seminars and attendance at meetings and social events.
May participate in activities that promote a healthy community.
Demonstrates knowledge and professionalism with community and other organizational members.
Provides timely response and resolution to client complaints.

Minimum Requirements:

Education/Experience/Licenses/Certificates/Eligibility: Current Arkansas RN license, BLS and ACLS. BSN preferred. Minimum three (3) years of ambulatory surgery clinical experience as a registered nurse with one (1) years of administrative/management experience.
