Kitchen Manager – Wok to Bowl Springfield

Wok to Bowl is looking for an experienced Kitchen Manager to lead our back-of-house operations. We’re seeking a motivated leader who is passionate about food quality, food safety, and developing great teams. This is a hands-on leadership role where you’ll work alongside your team to ensure every guest receives fresh, flavorful food prepared quickly and consistently.

Key Responsibilities

Lead all daily back-of-house operations and kitchen staff.
Along with GM Hire, train, coach, and develop cooks and prep team members.
Along with GM Create schedules and manage labor to meet business goals.
Ensure every meal is prepared accurately, consistently, and according to Wok to Bowl recipes and standards.
Oversee food preparation, line execution, and quality control during service.
Maintain strict compliance with food safety, sanitation, and health department regulations.
Manage inventory, ordering, receiving, and proper product rotation (FIFO).
Control food cost by minimizing waste, monitoring portion sizes, and maintaining accurate inventory.
Conduct daily line checks and ensure prep levels meet business needs.
Maintain a clean, organized, and efficient kitchen at all times.
Ensure all kitchen equipment is properly maintained and functioning.
Foster a positive, respectful, and accountable team culture.
Partner with the General Manager to achieve sales, labor, food cost, and guest satisfaction goals.

Qualifications

Minimum of 2 years of kitchen leadership or restaurant management experience.
Experience in high-volume or fast-casual restaurant environments preferred.
Strong understanding of food safety, sanitation, and kitchen operations.
Experience with inventory management, ordering, and food cost control.
Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
Ability to multitask and perform under pressure.
Ability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as business requires.
Food Protection Manager Certification preferred or ability to obtain shortly after hire.
