THE ATMOSPHERE
The Easterly St. Thomas is a waterfront dining oasis offering innovative craft cocktails and wood-fired cuisine representative of the rustic Caribbean. The menu is ocean-to-table focused and utilizes locally grown produce and local flavors to complement the dishes. The Easterly offers one of the Virgin Island’s most robust beverage programs with unique handcrafted cocktails, twists on Caribbean favorites, and an extensive list of craft beers & wine. Tucked away in an oasis of
palm trees and rich greenery, the restaurant exudes a Bohemian-island vibe, and offers a social, vibrant and interactive dining experience.

THE IDEAL MATCH
Our ideal match will play an essential part of our culinary foundation - you’ll help with daily prep loads, maintain a clean, organized, and sanitary kitchen, receive and verify vendor deliveries, and assist in general kitchen maintenance. Our kitchen support role is intended to be flexible. Employees may be asked to perform additional kitchen, cleaning, food preparation, stocking, or operational duties as assigned to support the needs of the restaurant. Responsibilities may change based on staffing levels, business demands, or operational requirements. This position plays an essential role in ensuring smooth kitchen operations daily. This person should be a flexible, enthusiastic individual who is self-motivated, eager to learn, and adaptable. We offer a unique, fun environment with the opportunity to grow within the company.

The Easterly brings a fresh, vibrant take on coastal Caribbean dining—where tropical, bohemian vibes meet elevated experiences. This concept is not just a restaurant – but a destination that blends music, sunshine, innovation, and top-tier hospitality into unforgettable moments. We’re laid-back but dialed-in. Professional but never stuffy. Every guest is welcomed like family—and we take that seriously.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES

Assist with the morning prep load to prepare menu components according to Chef’s recipe and quality standards.
Keep the kitchen, dish station, and storage areas looking clean, clutter-free, and well organized.
Wash, sanitize, and organize small wares, dishes, glasses, silverware, and cooking supplies.
Accurately receive, inspect, and organize vendor deliveries throughout the day to ensure inventory quality and proper rotation. Use FIFO (First in, first out) Procedures.
Assist with portioning proteins and preparing simple menu items when trained.
Replenish ingredients and supplies at kitchen stations.
Keep the trash bins clean, sorted, and regularly cleared.
Clean floors, drains, mats, walls, and work surfaces throughout each shift.
Monitor food safety and cleanliness standards to ensure a safe, compliant kitchen.
Assist with organizing walk-in coolers, freezers, and dry storage.
Stock shelves, coolers, and storage areas.
Keep the Chef and Manager on Duty in the loop on all things kitchen related.
Work with speed, efficiency, and pride in keeping things spotless.
Assist cooks during busy service periods as directed.
Set the tone for a collaborative environment with clear, open communication between all restaurant staff.

ROLE REQUIREMENTS

Previous restaurant or kitchen experience preferred but not required.
Ability to follow written and verbal directions.
Dependable attendance, flexible mindset, and willingness to learn.
Strong work ethics and even temperament.
Ability to stand/walk for extended periods of time.• Strong attention to cleanliness and organization.
Available to work on weekends, holidays and nights as required.
