Full Job Description

We are looking for a part-time front desk agent to work our 2pm-10pm shift and possibly full time to work along with the 3 over night audit shifts.

We are looking for a Front Desk Agent to serve as our guests’ first point of contact and to manage all aspects of their accommodation. Front Desk Agent responsibilities include registering guests, managing reservations and providing information about rooms, rates and amenities. The ideal candidate must be able to work under pressure and maintain a positive and welcoming demeanor. Ultimately, you will help create a pleasant and memorable stay for our guests.

Responsibilities

Perform all check-in and check-out tasks.
Manage online and phone reservations.
Inform customers about hotel policies and verify method of payment.
Register guests and collecting necessary information (like contact details and exact dates of their stay).
Welcome guests upon their arrival and assign rooms.
Provide information about our hotel, available rooms, rates and amenities, while also being knowledgeable about the surrounding area and making suggestions or recommendations for leisure guests.
Respond to clients’ complaints in a timely and professional manner.
Liaise with our housekeeping staff to ensure all rooms are clean, tidy and fully-furnished to accommodate guests’ needs.
Confirm group reservations and arrange personalized services for VIP customers and event attendees, like wedding guests.
Upsell additional facilities and services, when appropriate.
Maintain updated records of bookings and payments.

Skills

Work experience as a Hotel Front Desk Agent, Receptionist or similar role
Experience with hotel reservation software (i.e. SynXis, OnQ, Opera)
Working knowledge of how 3rd-party booking agencies operate (i.e. Expedia, Booking, TripAdvisor)
Customer service attitude
Excellent communication and organizational skills

Schedule

8 Hour Shift

Friday (2pm - 10pm)

10 Hour Shift

Saturday (2pm - 12am)
Every other Sunday (2pm - 12am)

Experience

Front Desk/Reception: 1 year (Preferred)
Customer Service: 1 year (Preferred)
Communication Skills: 1 year (Preferred)
Organizational Skills: 1 year (Preferred)

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $15.00 - $16.00 per hour
