Sales Executive – Commercial Transportation Equipment & Financing

Location: 1859 Bowles Avenue, Suite 220, Fenton, MO 63026
Compensation: $80,000 annual base salary plus commission
Schedule: Full-time | Office and field-based sales

Trans Advantage is seeking an experienced, motivated Sales Executive to develop new business and help transportation companies acquire the equipment and financing solutions they need to succeed.

This is a consultative, relationship-driven sales role focused on tractors, trailers, straight trucks, commercial vehicles, equipment financing, and leasing solutions. You will manage the entire sales process—from prospecting and identifying customer needs through financing, delivery, and follow-up.

With an $80,000 base salary plus commission, this is an excellent opportunity for a proven sales professional who enjoys building long-term customer relationships and wants greater earning potential.

What You’ll Do

Develop relationships with commercial fleets, owner-operators, dealerships, moving companies, and other transportation businesses
Generate new business through outbound calls, networking, referrals, customer visits, and strategic account development
Consult with customers to understand their business, equipment, leasing, and financing needs
Recommend tractors, trailers, straight trucks, and financing solutions based on each customer’s goals
Prepare equipment specifications, quotes, financing proposals, and lease options
Manage the sales process from initial contact through approval, funding, delivery, and follow-up
Negotiate terms, overcome objections, and close sales
Coordinate with lenders, equipment vendors, dealerships, and internal departments
Maintain accurate customer records, sales activities, opportunities, and forecasts within the CRM
Meet or exceed monthly and annual sales goals
Represent Trans Advantage during customer visits, trade shows, networking events, and industry functions
Stay informed about commercial equipment values, financing programs, and transportation industry trends

What We’re Looking For

Three to five years of successful consultative sales or business development experience
Demonstrated ability to generate leads, close sales, and meet or exceed performance goals
Strong relationship-building, negotiation, and customer service skills
Excellent verbal and written communication
Strong organizational, follow-up, and problem-solving abilities
Ability to independently manage a sales territory and pipeline
Comfortable working in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment
Experience using CRM software and Microsoft Office
Valid driver’s license and ability to travel regularly within the assigned territory

Preferred Experience

Experience in one or more of the following areas is strongly preferred:

Commercial vehicle or transportation equipment sales
Equipment financing or leasing
Moving and storage
Trucking, logistics, or fleet operations
Commercial lending or financial services
Tractor, trailer, or straight-truck sales

Education

High school diploma or equivalent required
Associate or bachelor’s degree preferred
Relevant professional experience may substitute for a college degree

Compensation

$80,000 + annual salary
Commission in addition to base salary

Work Environment and Physical Requirements

This position combines office-based work with field sales activities. Regular travel is required for sales calls, customer meetings, equipment walkthroughs, trade shows, and industry events.

Candidates must be able to lift and carry up to 25 pounds occasionally.
