Full Job Description

New England Food – Food Sales and Distribution Company (www.nefood.net)

At New England Food (NEF), we are seeking an experienced Accountant to provide financial, administrative and clerical services. This role demands a dynamic individual who thrives in a fast-paced environment, is organized and detail oriented, energetic and is a self-starter. Prior food industry experience is a plus.

Duties to Include

Generating customer invoices
Entering vendor invoices
Reconciling any discrepancies
Follow-up with past due invoices
Generate financial statements and reports detailing accounts receivable status
Collections
Calculating Commissions and entering into financial systems
A/P support
Cross-Train with all other administrative staff
Advanced computer skills - use of pivot tables, VLOOKUP's, subtotals, Power BI, Tableau, SQL
Other duties as assigned
Ongoing skills training preferred

SKILLS /QUALIFICATIONS:

College education preferred
Minimum 3 years experience as accounts receivable and/or accounts payable clerk
Solid understanding of basic accounting principles
Excellent math skills
Extremely detail oriented
Works well independently and with the team
Proficient with Microsoft Office, Excel, and Quickbooks
Experience with Acctivate Software, Quickbooks, or Acumatica a plus

Pay: From $28.75 per hour
