Full Job Description

Automotive Dealership Controller – Dealertrack DMS Experience Required

Follia Auto Cars is seeking an experienced Automotive Dealership Controller / Senior Accounting Professional with extensive hands-on experience using Dealertrack DMS by Cox Automotive.

IMPORTANT: Dealertrack Experience Is Required

Please apply only if you have direct, hands-on experience working with Dealertrack DMS in an automotive dealership environment.

We are specifically looking for someone who understands the accounting and inventory side of Dealertrack at an advanced level and can confidently work within the system without requiring basic Dealertrack training.

Required Dealertrack Experience

The ideal candidate must have strong working knowledge of:

Dealertrack DMS Accounting
General Ledger / G/L account setup and reconciliation
Vehicle inventory accounting
Stocking vehicles into inventory
Vehicle purchase entries and acquisition costs
Flooring and vehicle payable accounting
Vehicle deal posting
Sales invoicing and deal accounting
Wholesale vehicle transactions
Trade-in accounting
Payoffs and lien-related accounting
Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable
Bank and cash reconciliations
Inventory schedules and reconciliation
Month-end closing procedures
Identifying and correcting Dealertrack accounting errors and out-of-balance transactions
Producing and reviewing dealership financial reports

What We Are Looking For

We are looking for someone who has previously worked as a Controller, Assistant Controller, Office Manager, Senior Accountant, or similar accounting position within an automotive dealership and has used Dealertrack DMS as part of their daily responsibilities.

This is not an entry-level accounting position and is not intended for someone who has only limited exposure to Dealertrack.

You should be comfortable independently reviewing transactions, troubleshooting accounting issues, establishing proper dealership accounting procedures, and ensuring that vehicle inventory, deals, invoices, payables, and G/L accounts are accurately maintained.

Preferred Qualifications

Several years of automotive dealership accounting experience
Advanced Dealertrack DMS experience
Strong understanding of dealership inventory and vehicle accounting
Experience with retail and wholesale vehicle transactions
Experience with floorplan accounting is highly preferred
Strong reconciliation and problem-solving skills
Ability to establish accounting processes for a growing dealership
Highly organized and detail-oriented
