Full Job Description

Town & Country Ford, located in Pell City, Alabama is seeking a detail-oriented, organized, and dependable Accounting Assistant / Billing Clerk to join our automobile dealership business office. This position will support day-to-day dealership accounting functions, with a primary focus on account transaction posting and deal processing. The role may also include payroll support, HR administration, and benefits coordination depending on the candidate’s experience and the needs of the office.

Key Responsibilities:

· Process and bill vehicle deals accurately and timely, including reviewing deal paperwork for completeness and compliance.

· Coordinate with sales, finance, title, and management teams to resolve missing information, discrepancies, or billing questions.

· Assist with reconciliations, schedules, month-end closing tasks, and other accounting office duties as assigned.

· Prepare reports, spreadsheets, and tracking documents using Microsoft Excel.

· Provide payroll support, including timekeeping review, payroll data entry, and payroll record maintenance, if applicable.

· Assist with HR and benefits administration, including employee documentation, onboarding paperwork, benefit enrollment support, and related recordkeeping, if applicable.

Ideal Qualifications

· Prior automobile dealership business office, billing, accounting, title, or deal processing experience strongly preferred.

· Strong Microsoft Excel skills required, including the ability to create and maintain spreadsheets, use formulas, sort and filter data, and reconcile information accurately.

· Excellent attention to detail, organization, follow-through, and time management.

· Experience with dealership management systems such as CDK, Reynolds & Reynolds, Dealertrack, Tekion, or similar systems is a plus.

· Payroll, HR, benefits administration, or employee onboarding experience is a plus.
