Residential Group Home Lead – APD Behavior-Focused Program

Are you a compassionate and energetic leader looking to make a lasting difference? Join our team where we’re dedicated to providing exceptional care and support for individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities. We offer a broad range of services, including residential foster care, adoption, behavioral health therapy, targeted case management, and crisis response.

We’re seeking a Residential Group Home Lead to support our APD Behavior-Focused Group Home. In this role, you'll take the lead in supervising direct care staff, managing day-to-day home operations, and ensuring that clients receive quality care in a nurturing, structured environment. You'll work under the direction of the Assistant Manager and collaborate with healthcare professionals to implement individualized, person-centered care plans.

Key Responsibilities:

Serve as the lead point of contact for your assigned home and team.
Supervise and guide direct care staff; provide regular feedback and performance reviews.
Assist with daily operations, including scheduling, documentation, and compliance monitoring.
Perform direct care duties as needed (personal care, meal prep, medication assistance, etc.).
De-escalate behavioral incidents and model positive behavior management techniques.
Support and participate in interdisciplinary meetings for client care planning.
Ensure staff meet all APD training and documentation requirements.
Provide after-hours support and participate in on-call rotation.
Promote a safe, respectful, and person-centered home environment.

Qualifications:

High school diploma or GED required; college coursework in Human Services, Social Work, or Management is a plus.
Minimum of 2 years of experience working with individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities in a group home setting.
At least 1 year of supervisory or leadership experience required.
At least 1 year experience with APD
Valid Florida driver’s license and clean driving record.
Must pass a Level 2 background screening and drug test.
CPR certification required.
First Aid, Med Pass, and Professional Crisis Management (PCM) certification preferred.
Physically able to lift/move up to 50 lbs and maintain a flexible schedule.
