Full Job Description

Subject: Picuris Pueblo Environment Department is Hiring!

Job Title: Administrative Assistant

Status: Full-time

Pay: $18.00/hr.

Job Summary: Provide administrative and technical support for Picuris Pueblo Environment Department with minimal supervision.

Qualifications: High School Diploma or equivalent

Associate’s Degree OR 2+ years of office experience

Experience in accounting/bookkeeping desired

Valid NM driver's license preferred

Duties and Responsibilities:

- Provide general administrative support to the Environment Department staff;

- Prepare reports and correspondence between departments, tribes, state and federal agencies;

- Schedule and administer meetings between departments, tribes, state, and federal agencies;

- Maintain environment department library, project files and filing systems;

- Assist with data collection, management, and storage;

- Assist with preparing and presenting updates to Tribal Council;

- Cross-train for other position’s in the department such as Environmental Technician and assist as needed;

- Prepare and submit financial documents and reports to/from finance department;

- Other duties as assigned.

Working Conditions:

- Work may be performed outdoors and subject to seasonal weather conditions;

- Duties may involve walking, kneeling, climbing, crawling, standing, crouching, and/or lifting up to 50 lbs.;

- Work may be performed in hazardous environments involving fumes, dust, odors, and/or gases;

- Must be willing to work nights, weekends, and/or holidays if necessary;

- Position may include travel for workshops and/or training.
