Full Job Description

Retail Store Manager

We are changing the world...one flannel at a time. We’re a little non-traditional, a little on the edge, but that’s what makes us such a fun company to work for.

Motorcycles, skateboards, low-riders, hardcore/punk music, and flannels in our closets. That’s who we are and we were tired of flannels that didn’t fit well, wrinkled, shrunk, and faded. We worked hard and did it better and rolled out the first Dixxon flannel in 2013 and we haven’t looked back since! We continue to be all about growth and change!

We are looking for an experienced team member to lead the Retail team at our Flagship store in Tempe.

OVERVIEW

The Retail Manager will drive the operational and organizational standards for the store and team through management of people, product, process, and profitability in the retail showroom. Working closely with the team to oversee sales, development talent, create operational efficiency while maintaining a positive work environment are key drivers in this position. Improving customer satisfaction, meeting aggressive monthly sales goals, managing a dynamic team of retail staff, effectively managing product inflow and merchandising, driving profitability through loss prevention and having a solution-oriented mentality are critical for our Flagship Retail Store Manager. This role is ideal for someone who has demonstrated leadership, strong customer service skills, and a commitment to achieving departmental goals and wants to grow with our amazing company.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Personally deliver excellent customer service to ensure high levels of customer satisfaction while setting the tone for the retail staff; always leading by example.
Lead, train, and assist the retail staff in creating a world-class experience through GREAT sales tactics and merchandising best practices.
Maintain appropriate product levels, merchandising within store guidelines, preparing the store based on the promotional calendar, and always driving sales through the team.
Develop and execute business strategies you and the management team create to attract new customers, expand store traffic, and enhance profitability.
Implement cross-training of employees and Assistant Managers to maintain productivity at all times.
Manage all controllable costs with a view to maintaining profitability.
Ensure the store remains clean and presentable at all times.
Hire and train as needed to ensure adequate personnel is on hand to provide outstanding customer service.
Manage inventory control, employee discounts, end-of-the-month deposits, and maintain best practices when moving product through POS.
Staff scheduling, huddles, and meetings designed to foster knowledge and teamwork.
Formulate and document solutions for processes, optimization and improvements.
Leading and setting expectations each day to ensure we are BUILDING every sale and creating relationships that will LAST beyond our walls.

GOALS/METRICS:

Drive store sales above LY, Projection, and stretch goals
Maintain personal sales numbers above store expectations (SPC)
Manage store sales performance numbers above expectations (SPC)
Maintain a well merchandised store following store guidelines, stocked with appropriate products, keep backstock well merchandised and sorted, and retail showroom easily shoppable
Assist in managing weekly productivity numbers to +/- 10% of hours allotted

REQUIREMENTS

Proven experience in a retail environment, with an understanding of retail store operations.
Demonstrated leadership abilities, including problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Strong organizational and time-management skills.
Ability to use technology, programs, and software.
Must be able to stand for extended periods time, including the entire work-shift.
Must be able to lift, push and pull boxes up to 40 pounds.
Must be able to reach above your head, kneel, bend, and twist.
Must be available to work 10:30 AM to 6:30 PM Monday-Sunday, along with additional days/hours as needed.
Familiarity with the Dixxon brand, as well as the customer and applicable trends is a huge plus!

SCHEDULE

Must be available to work full-time 40/hours/week) Monday through Sunday in our Tempe Retail Showroom. Overtime/Holiday hours required as needed.
