Full Job Description

Accounts Payable & Accounts Receivable Clerk

Nesbitt Contracting Co., Inc. is looking for an accounts payable and accounts receivable clerk.

Responsibilities:

Utilizing software to process accounts payable and receivable transactions
Process all types of accounts payable invoices, including subcontractor pay apps with retention
Process all accounts receivable-related transactions for a large construction company, including retentions
Preparing Excel spreadsheets
Contacting foremen/superintendents and project managers regarding data
Learning other accounting functions through cross training within the accounting group

Requirements:

Must be very detail oriented with a high degree of accuracy
Must be familiar with job cost entries
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Effectively learn to process monthly pay apps and transactions in accounts receivable
Effectively learn to process subcontractor pay apps for accounts payable
Willing to work as part of a team to complete tasks
Knowledge of construction accounting is helpful
Bilingual is a plus but not required
A clean MVR and drug test are required
