Position Summary
The Operational Manager is responsible for the efficient operation and management of all branch services, administrative, parts administration, and rental fleet assets. and support activities. This role involves the strategic day-to-day operations of the company’s branch, ensuring that branch objectives are achieved and align with the company’s vision.

- Supervise and Manage: Oversee the administration team, parts administration team, service team, transportation, rental contracts, and all facility maintenance.
· Work with internal department heads to ensure the right processes and practices are implemented across the organization including development/implementation of SOPs.
· Ensure operational support of company’s business units, sales, service, inventory, and transportation.
· Work with third party accounting and audit teams as needed
· Act as a catalyst for change regarding data capture/analysis and use to drive business decisions
· Assist with cost analysis of business units as needed.
· Manage third party vendor tracking and compliance.

- Operational Development: Develop operational procedures congruent with established CES objectives by collaborating with CES management teams.
- Customer Service: Foster a customer service culture that achieves the highest customer satisfaction results.
- Planning: Plan short-term and long-term requirements for equipment and facilities.
- Collaboration: Seek input from, and reach across, product and service lines to support customer needs.
- Relationship Building: Develop and maintain strong working relationships with customers, corporate managers, and employees.
- Team Development: Develop the skills and capabilities of the administration team, parts administration team, and service team .
- Goal Attainment: Establish sales and profit objectives and ensure these objectives are met or exceeded.
- Product Knowledge: Maintain knowledge and understanding of company products and services.
- Budget Oversight: Plan and monitor the annual budget, noting any special circumstances that may create a budget variance.
- Departmental Accountability: Ensure all departments (administration team, parts administration team, service team, etc.) are meeting their responsibilities.
· Works closely with supervisor in the development and implementation of policies pertaining to the production operation
- Safety and Efficiency: Work closely with direct reports to ensure operations are conducted safely and efficiently.

· Oversees implementation of safety programs and safety training
· Establishes and maintains a close relationship with other departments on projects as needed
· Participates in interdepartmental meetings and customer meetings as required
· Promotes CES to customers
- Procurement and Payables: Closely supervise store purchases and process Accounts Payable (A/P) documents to ensure timely vendor payments.
- Process Implementation: Establish processes with store employees that support safe and profitable operations.
- Scheduling: Develop and coordinate effective work schedules for all team areas to allow for efficient company operations and to accommodate emergency requests.
- Resource Management: Create, review, and maintain immediate and long-term plans for proper resource utilization (facility, tooling, and equipment).
- Safety Culture: Develop a climate of “Safety First” by modeling and enforcing all safety procedures.
- Professionalism: Set the model of professionalism by establishing good housekeeping procedures and prioritizing personal appearance.
- Stakeholder Relations: Build strong relationships with field and office personnel, as well as with outside customers and vendors.
- Integrity: Set the model of integrity by following through with commitments, demonstrating concern for the welfare of employees, and establishing a high level of trust with customers, vendors, and employees.
- Communication:
- Establish regular meetings with key personnel (e.g., Administration Manager, Parts Administration Manager, Service Manager).
- Establish regular meeting times with the entire branch to provide status reports and keep the lines of communication open.
- Mentorship: Be available as a coach and mentor to employees to help build a strong team.
- Product Expertise: Learn and thoroughly understand the products and services provided by CES.
- Sales Promotion: Communicate product and service information with customers in an effort to promote sales/service.
- Warranty Management: Review and ensure that warranty issues are handled in the best interest of the company.
- Continuous Improvement: Increase product knowledge to serve as a valuable resource to everyone in the branch.
- Other Duties: Perform other duties as assigned by the manager.
· Provides adequate reports as needed for Sales, Engineering and other areas of the company
- Oversee and support all administrative duties in the office and ensure that the office is operating smoothly

Supervisory Responsibilities:

Required Education and Experience:
- High School Diploma or GED
- Bachelor’s degree in a Business related field or equivalent combination of education and experience
- 5+ years’ experience in a heavy equipment/agriculture equipment dealership at a level of responsibility which includes management of sales, rental, and product support operations
- 5+ years administrative/clerical experience
- 5+ years customer service experience
- 3-5 years sales experience
- 5+ years supervisory/management experience
