About Us

Kaige Kubota is a Kubota equipment dealership serving the Permian Basin. We're looking for a Service Manager to lead our service department and keep our customers' equipment running.

About the Role

The Service Manager oversees day-to-day operations of the service department — technicians, work order flow, quality control, and customer communication — while managing department performance and growing the team's capabilities. You'll work closely with the Parts department and General Manager to keep jobs moving efficiently from intake to invoice.

What You'll Do

Manage service department staff, including scheduling, workload distribution, and performance
Oversee work order flow from intake through completion, ensuring accurate time tracking and job costing
Maintain quality control standards and ensure repairs are done right the first time
Handle customer escalations and ensure clear communication on repair status and estimates
Manage warranty claim submissions and documentation for Kubota equipment
Partner with the Parts Manager to ensure parts availability doesn't bottleneck repairs
Track department KPIs (technician utilization, turnaround time, comeback rate) and report on department performance
Support technician training, certification, and career development
Maintain a safe, organized shop environment and ensure compliance with safety standards
Manage service department budget and contribute to annual planning

What We're Looking For

3+ years of experience in a service management or lead technician role, ideally in equipment dealership, heavy equipment, agricultural, or automotive service
Strong mechanical/technical background — you don't need to turn wrenches daily, but you need to understand the work well enough to diagnose bottlenecks and support your team
Experience with a shop management or work order system; DMS experience (CDK, Primus, or similar) a plus
Proven ability to lead and develop a technician team
Strong customer service and communication skills
Kubota or other heavy equipment brand experience strongly preferred
Comfortable in a fast-paced, hands-on environment
