Job Overview

We are seeking a detail-oriented and energetic Part Time QuickBooks Bookkeeper to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for managing the day-to-day financial record-keeping using QuickBooks Online and other accounting software. Your expertise will ensure accurate financial data entry, account reconciliation, and timely reporting, supporting our organization’s financial health and compliance with accounting standards. This position offers flexibility and the opportunity to work remotely or on-site, perfect for candidates passionate about maintaining precise financial records while balancing other commitments.

Responsibilities

Maintain accurate bookkeeping records using QuickBooks Online, Sage, Xero, and other financial software systems.
Perform bank reconciliations and general ledger account analysis to ensure data integrity.
Process accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions efficiently and accurately.
Prepare journal entries, ledger postings, and double-entry bookkeeping entries in accordance with GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles).
Reconcile balance sheets, bank statements, and subsidiary ledgers regularly to identify discrepancies.
Assist with payroll processing, ensuring correct deductions and timely payments.
Generate detailed financial reports, including profit & loss statements and balance sheets, for management review.
Support budgeting activities and conduct account analysis to facilitate strategic planning.
Ensure compliance with accounting standards and maintain thorough documentation of all transactions.

Experience

Proven bookkeeping experience with a strong understanding of accounting principles, GAAP standards, and financial concepts.
Hands-on experience with QuickBooks Online is essential; familiarity with Sage, Xero, Quicken or other financial software is a plus.
Demonstrated ability to perform account reconciliation, bank reconciliation, and general ledger reconciliation accurately.
Experience processing payroll and managing accounts payable/receivable workflows.
Knowledge of double-entry bookkeeping, journal entries, debits & credits, and account analysis techniques.
Prior work in public accounting or non-profit accounting environments is advantageous but not required.
Strong proficiency in spreadsheets (Excel or Google Sheets) for data analysis and reporting.
