Full Job Description

We are seeking an experienced CNC Turning and/or Milling Operator / Setup Technician to oversee daily milling/turning operations, perform setups, and support the production team. The ideal candidate is hands-on, detail-oriented, and capable of leading by example in a precision manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities:

Set up CNC Lathe, Mills machines
Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and work instructions
Select and install tooling, fixtures, and materials
Adjust machine offsets and ensure proper tolerances are maintained
Perform first-piece inspections and in-process quality checks
Make necessary program edits at the machine (if required)
Maintain a clean and organized work area
Follow all safety and company procedures

Qualifications:

Minimum [3] years of CNC Turning/Milling setup experience
Ability to read and interpret technical drawings
Experience with precision measuring instruments (calipers, micrometers, gauges)
Familiarity with tight tolerance work (aerospace experience is a plus)
Ability to troubleshoot and resolve machining issues
Reliable and detail-oriented

Preferred Skills:

Experience with [Fanuc / Okuma / etc.] controls
Knowledge of tooling and cutting parameters
