Job Overview

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Sous Chef to join our vibrant culinary team. In this pivotal role, you will assist the Executive Chef in overseeing daily kitchen operations, ensuring the highest standards of food quality, safety, and presentation. Your leadership will inspire our kitchen staff to deliver exceptional dining experiences in a fast-paced, fine dining environment. You will play a key role in menu planning, food production, and maintaining a seamless flow of service, all while fostering a positive and collaborative team atmosphere. Responsibilities

Support the Executive Chef in managing daily kitchen operations, including shift management and team supervision
Lead food preparation and cooking processes to ensure dishes meet quality standards and presentation expectations
Oversee food safety sanitizing procedures and ensure compliance with health regulations across all kitchen activities
Assist with menu planning, ingredient sourcing, inventory management, and cost control measures
Supervise food handling practices, dietary department requirements, and catering or banquet service preparations
Manage inventory control to minimize waste and optimize stock levels while maintaining budget targets
Train, mentor, and motivate kitchen staff to uphold high standards of culinary excellence and teamwork
Ensure smooth coordination between kitchen staff and front-of-house teams to deliver exceptional food service experiences

Skills

Extensive culinary experience with a strong background in fine dining settings
Proven supervising experience in a fast-paced kitchen environment
Knowledge of food safety sanitizing procedures and food handling regulations
Experience with banquet, catering, and large-scale event food production
Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage teams effectively and foster collaboration
Expertise in menu planning, inventory management, and cost control strategies
Familiarity with restaurant management principles including shift management and food service operations
Excellent communication skills to coordinate with various departments within the hospitality industry
Demonstrated ability to maintain high standards of food quality while managing multiple priorities
