Tax Supervisor / Senior Tax Accountant | Full-Time | On-Site

The Role

A growing public accounting firm is seeking an experienced Tax Supervisor / Senior Tax Accountant to join its expanding Tax team. This role is responsible for managing client engagements, reviewing complex individual and business tax returns, providing tax planning support, and mentoring junior team members.

The ideal candidate is a strong public accounting professional with experience handling high-net-worth individuals, partnerships, corporations, trusts, and estate tax matters who is looking to take the next step in their career within a collaborative, client-focused environment.

What You'll Do

Manage and review complex federal and state tax returns, including:
Partnerships (Form 1065)
S-Corporations (Form 1120S)
C-Corporations (Form 1120)
Individual returns (Form 1040), including high-net-worth clients
Fiduciary returns (Form 1041)
Estate and trust tax returns
Provide tax planning and advisory support for privately held businesses, business owners, and individual clients.
Assist clients with tax strategies involving income tax planning, entity structuring, and compliance matters.
Research and resolve complex federal and state tax issues.
Serve as a trusted advisor and primary point of contact for assigned clients.
Review work prepared by staff and senior accountants for accuracy, completeness, and compliance.
Mentor and provide guidance to junior team members.
Manage multiple client engagements, deadlines, and deliverables throughout the year.
Communicate directly with clients regarding tax questions, planning opportunities, and filing requirements.
Assist with engagement management, including timelines, workflow, and client satisfaction.

What You Bring

Bachelor's degree in Accounting required.
CPA license preferred.
5+ years of public accounting tax experience required.
Strong experience preparing and reviewing:
Partnership tax returns (1065)
Corporate tax returns (1120/1120S)
High-net-worth individual returns (1040)
Experience with trust and estate tax returns (1041) required.
Strong knowledge of federal and state tax regulations.
Experience managing client relationships and communicating directly with business owners and high-net-worth individuals.
Experience reviewing and mentoring junior staff.
Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple deadlines.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and tax preparation software.
Experience with CCH ProSystem Fx, CCH Axcess, BNA, PPC, or similar tax software preferred.
Ability to work additional hours during peak tax season as needed.

Compensation

$90,000-$115,000 (or commensurate with experience and qualifications).
