Chiropractic Front Desk & Billing Specialist (Full-Time)

OptiLife Chiropractic | Tampa, FL (33626) | In-Person

OptiLife Chiropractic is a friendly, patient-centered practice with a calm, supportive environment for both patients and staff. We’re looking for a full-time Front Desk & Billing Specialist who excels in patient-facing front-office responsibilities and brings strong chiropractic insurance billing and accounts receivable (A/R) management skills.

What You’ll Do (Primary Responsibilities)

Front Office / Patient Reception (Primary)

Welcome patients warmly, create a positive first impression, and maintain a professional, friendly front desk presence.
Schedule, confirm, and manage appointments to support smooth patient flow
Check patients in/out, manage intake forms, and maintain accurate patient records
Communicate clearly with patients about visits, next appointments, basic benefits information, and office policies
Collect co-pays, deductibles, and patient balances; provide receipts and answer payment questions respectfully
Maintain daily front desk operations: phones, messages, scanning, documentation, and general administrative support
Use ChiroTouch for scheduling, patient records, payments, and day-to-day office management

Insurance Billing & Receivables (Strong Secondary Focus)

Submit chiropractic insurance claims accurately and on time; correct and resubmit when needed
Verify eligibility/benefits and support authorization requirements when applicable
Post payments (EOB/ERA), reconcile balances, and ensure clean, accurate documentation in ChiroTouch
Proactively manage A/R: follow up on unpaid/denied claims, resolve issues, and reduce aging
Work denials and rejections efficiently (coding edits, missing info, coordination of benefits, etc.)
Communicate professionally with insurance carriers and patients to resolve billing questions
Follow up with attorneys, providing the necessary records as requested and follow up on A/R

Required Skills & Experience

Front office/receptionist experience in a medical or chiropractic setting (patient scheduling, check-in/out, phones, records)
Strong, confident communication and a high level of patient service
Solid comfort collecting payments and discussing balances with patients kindly and clearly
ChiroTouch or related experience (scheduling + patient records; billing/posting experience strongly preferred)
Chiropractic or related insurance billing experience with hands-on claim follow-up and A/R management
Highly organized, detail-oriented, and dependable with excellent follow-through

Preferred Qualifications

Strong denial management experience and a proven track record improving collections or reducing A/R aging
Experience with ERAs/EOBs, payer portals, clearinghouses/EDI, and payment reconciliation
Familiarity with chiropractic coding and billing best practices (CPT/ICD-10; modifier awareness)
Experience improving office workflows, systems, or training/supporting others
