A Sales and Service company for Office Systems (Copiers, Mailing Systems, etc.) is looking for an Accounts Payable Professional. This position will also have some duties assisting in Accounts Receivables.

Job Title: Accounts Payable Clerk $20.00

Hours Monday-Friday 8am-5pm

Position Summary:

The Accounts Payable Clerk is responsible for managing the company’s outgoing financial obligations by ensuring invoices are accurately processed, approved, and paid in a timely manner. This role supports the accounting department by maintaining organized financial records, reconciling vendor accounts, and assisting with month-end closing activities.

Key Responsibilities

Review, verify, and process vendor invoices in accordance with company policies
Obtain proper approvals for invoices prior to payment
Prepare and process electronic payments
Maintain accurate vendor files and records
Reconcile vendor statements and resolve discrepancies
Respond to vendor inquiries regarding payment status
Maintain accounts payable aging reports
Ensure compliance with internal controls and accounting standards

Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent required; Associate degree in Accounting or related field preferred
1–3 years of accounts payable or general accounting experience preferred
Knowledge of basic accounting principles
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software systems
Strong attention to detail and accuracy
Excellent organizational and time-management skills
Strong communication and problem-solving abilities

Ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
High level of integrity and confidentiality
Team-oriented mindset with the ability to work independently
Strong analytical and reconciliation skills
