Hi-Tek Mechanical, Inc. – Irvine, CA

Are you an experienced Automotive Service Advisor looking for a career with greater long-term growth, higher earning potential, and the opportunity to become an expert in a thriving commercial industry?

At Hi-Tek Mechanical, we believe the best Service Advisors don't necessarily come from HVAC—they come from people who understand how to build customer relationships, communicate technical information, sell value instead of price, and keep operations running efficiently. If you've been successful in an automotive dealership or repair facility, we can teach you the HVAC side.

This is not an entry-level customer service position.

We are looking for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment, can juggle multiple priorities, communicates exceptionally well, and takes ownership of every customer interaction from the initial phone call through completion of the job.

If you're ready to take the skills you've built in automotive service and apply them to a growing commercial HVAC company, we'd like to meet you.

What You'll Do

As a Commercial HVAC Service Advisor, you'll become the primary point of contact between our customers, dispatch team, field technicians, and management.

Your responsibilities will include:

Answering incoming customer service requests and building strong client relationships.
Reviewing technician findings and translating technical information into language customers understand.
Preparing professional repair proposals and estimates.
Recommending repairs based on customer needs—not high-pressure sales tactics.
Following up on outstanding estimates to help customers make informed decisions.
Working closely with dispatch to prioritize emergency service calls and schedule repairs.
Coordinating with technicians to ensure jobs move efficiently from diagnosis to completion.
Monitoring repair progress and keeping customers informed throughout the process.
Managing work orders, documentation, photographs, and service records.
Helping identify opportunities for preventative maintenance agreements and system upgrades.
Providing an exceptional customer experience that builds long-term relationships.

What We're Looking For

The ideal candidate has experience as:

Automotive Service Advisor
Automotive Service Writer
Dealership Service Advisor
Service Consultant
Heavy Equipment or Diesel Service Advisor

You should already possess:

Excellent customer service skills
Strong sales ability without being pushy
Outstanding organizational skills
Ability to prioritize multiple jobs simultaneously
Confidence speaking with customers
Professional written communication
Strong computer skills
Experience creating estimates
Ability to communicate technical information clearly
A positive attitude and willingness to learn

HVAC Experience?

Not required.

If you understand how to:

Build customer trust
Sell recommended repairs ethically
Coordinate technicians
Manage estimates
Handle difficult conversations professionally
Deliver an outstanding customer experience

Qualifications

Preferred:

2+ years as an Automotive Service Advisor or Service Writer
Dealership experience is a plus
Experience preparing repair estimates
Strong customer service background
Excellent communication skills
Comfortable learning technical systems
Professional appearance and demeanor
Valid driver's license
