Job Summary
We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Estimator Coordinator to join our team. This pivotal role combines the strategic aspects of construction estimating with the coordination of preconstruction activities, ensuring seamless project planning and accurate cost projections. As a key contributor, you will work closely with project managers, clients, subcontractors, and vendors to develop precise estimates, manage bid processes, and support the overall success of our construction projects. Your expertise in construction estimating tools and contract negotiations will drive efficiency, cost control, and project excellence from initial concept through project execution.

Duties

Collaborate with project teams to gather scope details and develop comprehensive construction estimates using HeavyBid or similar estimating software.
Prepare detailed bid packages, including pricing, material takeoffs, and labor costs, ensuring accuracy and competitiveness.
Utilize Bluebeam for plan review, markup, and document management to facilitate clear communication across teams.
Coordinate preconstruction activities such as site visits, subcontractor solicitations, and value engineering efforts to optimize project scope and costs.
Assist in negotiating contracts with subcontractors and suppliers to secure favorable terms while maintaining quality standards.
Support project management by tracking cost estimates against actuals, implementing cost control measures, and updating budgets accordingly.
Maintain organized records of bids, contracts, change orders, and related documentation to ensure transparency and accountability throughout the project lifecycle.

Qualifications

Proven experience in construction estimating with proficiency in HeavyBid or comparable estimating software.
Strong knowledge of construction processes, site management practices, and contract administration.
Familiarity with Bluebeam for document review and markup is highly desirable.
Excellent negotiation skills to secure competitive pricing while fostering positive relationships with vendors and subcontractors.
Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously with strong organizational skills.
Experience in construction site activities or construction management is a plus.
Understanding of cost control techniques, pricing strategies, and project management principles within the construction industry.
Effective communication skills to collaborate across teams and present complex information clearly.
