Overview

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Certified Public Accountant (CPA) to join our dynamic finance team. This role offers an exciting opportunity to leverage your extensive accounting expertise to ensure compliance, accuracy, and integrity across a broad spectrum of financial activities. As a CPA, you will play a pivotal role in managing complex financial reporting, tax compliance, and regulatory requirements while providing strategic insights that drive organizational success. Your energy, professionalism, and technical proficiency will contribute to maintaining our reputation for excellence in financial management.

Responsibilities

Prepare and review financial statements in accordance with GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles) and regulatory standards.
Conduct comprehensive audits, including internal controls, SOX (Sarbanes-Oxley Act) compliance, and financial statement analysis.
Manage tax reporting processes, including individual, corporate, and estate tax returns, ensuring adherence to tax law and compliance regulations.
Assist with tax planning strategies such as estate planning, wills, trusts, and estate law considerations to optimize client outcomes.
Reconcile general ledger accounts, perform balance sheet reconciliations, and analyze account discrepancies using accounting software like QuickBooks, Xero, Sage, or similar tools.
Support mergers & acquisitions activities through due diligence, financial analysis, and integration of financial systems.
Communicate complex financial concepts clearly to clients and internal stakeholders while providing exceptional client service.

Requirements

Certified Public Accountant (CPA) license is mandatory with proven experience in public accounting or corporate finance.
Extensive knowledge of accounting principles including GAAP, technical accounting standards, and regulatory compliance accounting.
Strong background in tax law, tax compliance, tax reporting, and tax accounting with experience preparing various types of tax returns.
Proficiency in accounting software such as QuickBooks, Xero, Sage, or equivalent platforms; familiarity with financial software for analysis and reporting.
Demonstrated expertise in auditing procedures, SOX compliance processes, and regulatory reporting requirements.
Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret financial reports and perform detailed account reconciliation.
Effective communication skills for client interaction and team collaboration; ability to explain complex concepts clearly.
Experience with financial sales strategies, asset management practices including private equity or non-profit accounting is a plus.
Knowledge of securities law and investment-related financial services is advantageous but not required.
