Full Job Description

About the Role

We are a growing land surveying firm looking for an experienced Survey Project Coordinator / Assistant Project Manager to join our office team full-time. In this role, you will act as a vital bridge between field operations, clients, and our licensed professional surveyors (PLS).

This is a strictly office-based, salaried position. A major component of this role involves serving as the primary point of contact for client communications, answering phone inquiries, and managing daily email support, alongside processing high-quality work products efficiently.

What You Will Do

Client & Customer Support: Serve as the front-line contact for the firm by answering client calls, responding promptly to customer emails, handling project inquiries, and providing clear timeline updates.
Proposals & Estimates: Review inbound project requests, evaluate scopes of work, and draft formal proposals and cost estimates for review.
CADD Drafting & Mapping: Utilize AutoCAD Civil 3D to import point files, generate surfaces and contours, create topographic maps, and draft boundary surveys.
Project Support: Actively support licensed surveyors by gathering public records/research, prepping survey calculation files, and assisting with final deliverables.

Required Qualifications & Experience

Experience: Minimum of 5 years of professional surveying experience working specifically within a land surveying or civil engineering firm.
Customer Service Skills: Excellent phone etiquette and professional email writing skills; comfortable managing multiple client requests and inquiries daily.
Software Skills: Intermediate proficiency in AutoCAD and Civil 3D (must be comfortable managing point databases, generating contours, and drafting from field notes).
Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills for writing detailed proposals and interacting with clients.

Preferred Qualifications

Land Surveyor in Training (LSIT) certification is highly preferred but not required.
