Full Job Description

Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Patient Care Coordinator t to join our ENT practice. The ideal candidate will provide exceptional patient care across various medical settings, including outpatient clinics, hospital environments, and emergency departments. This role requires a versatile professional with experience in dermatology, hospital medicine, urgent care, and medical administrative support. The Certified Medical Assistant will play a vital role in supporting physicians and healthcare providers by performing clinical and administrative duties to ensure efficient patient flow and high-quality care delivery.

Duties

Must be Bilingual (English & Spanish)
Assist with patient intake, including collecting medical histories and documenting symptoms
Scheduling Patient's appointment with provider
Measure and record vital signs accurately, such as blood pressure, pulse, respiration, and temperature
Prepare patients for examinations and procedures, ensuring comfort and understanding
Administer medications and injections following proper protocols and physician instructions
Support physicians during procedures in and inpatient setting.
Maintain detailed documentation within Electronic Health Record (EHR) systems, including ICD coding and medical histories
Perform basic life support (BLS) as needed to respond to emergency situations
Assist with specimen collection, laboratory tests, and other diagnostic procedures
Ensure proper sterilization of equipment and maintain a clean clinical environment
Support medical administrative tasks such as appointment scheduling, patient education, and insurance documentation.

Requirements

Certification as a Medical Assistant from an accredited program is required
Proven experience in outpatient clinics, hospital medicine, emergency medicine, or trauma centers is highly preferred
Knowledge of dermatology, internal medicine, urgent care protocols, and hospital procedures is advantageous
Familiarity with EHR systems and ICD coding for accurate documentation
Strong understanding of anatomy and physiology relevant to patient care procedures
Ability to perform clinical tasks such as medication administration, X-ray assistance, vital signs measurement, and patient intake efficiently
Basic life support (BLS) certification required; additional certifications in emergency medicine or hospital experience are a plus
Excellent patient service skills with compassionate communication abilities
Ability to work effectively in fast-paced environments including inpatient units like PICU or Geriatrics wards
Strong knowledge of medical terminology across various specialties including medical-surgical care and outpatient services
Must be Bilingual (English & Spanish)
