Reports to: The NASPGHAN CEO & Executive Director

About NASPGHAN:

The North American Society for Pediatric Gastroenterology, Hepatology and Nutrition (NASPGHAN) is the leading non-profit organization in North America—and the largest globally—dedicated to advancing the care of children with digestive disorders. Founded in 1972, our mission is to be a world leader in research, education, clinical practice, and advocacy in pediatric gastroenterology, hepatology, and nutrition.

About NASPGHAN Foundation:

The NASPGHAN Foundation funds and supports the physician and patient education and research missions of NASPGHAN. The NASPGHAN Foundation was founded by the North American Society for Pediatric Gastroenterology, Hepatology and Nutrition (NASPGHAN), a professional society of more than 3,000 members in the pediatric gastroenterology, hepatology, and nutrition community, to promote awareness and research of pediatric digestive and nutritional disorders.

The NASPGHAN Foundation promotes research, education, and awareness of these and other conditions. The Foundation creates patient education materials for families and children. The Foundation also develops educational materials for medical professionals including slide sets, webinars, web-based education modules, and a variety of other tools which aid practitioners in the care of children with digestive disorders.

Position Summary:

The Manager, Finance & Administration, oversees the association’s daily financial operations, supports budgeting and reporting, manages administrative processes, and ensures smooth coordination across membership, programs, and events. This role is the operational backbone of the organization, combining accounting, financial management, and administrative leadership.

Key Strategic Responsibilities:

Finance & Accounting Operations – 80%

· Daily Accounting Oversight: Manage AP, AR, deposits, dues processing, and reconciliations

· Month-End Close Support: Prepare journal entries, schedules, sales tax reporting, intercompany reconciliations and reports for the Controller or Director of Finance

· Financial Reporting: Produce weekly/monthly dashboards for leadership, Ad hoc reporting as requested

· Budget Administration and Development: Track spending against budget, support annual budget development

· Grant & Program Accounting: Monitor restricted funds, program budgets, and compliance

· Event Financial Management: Manage registration revenue, vendor payments, and reconciliation for NASPGHAN’s annual meeting and educational events

· Internal Controls: Maintain approval workflows, documentation, and compliance with association policies.

Administration & Operations – 10%

· Office Administration: Oversee administrative processes, vendor relationships, insurance compliance and operational logistics

· Membership Financial Coordination: Ensure accurate dues billing, renewals, and member financial records

· Committee Support: Provide financial and administrative support to NASPGHAN committees and special interest groups

· HR & Personnel Administration: Manage payroll inputs, onboarding documentation, and benefits coordination & compliance, & Federal/State reporting as needed

· Technology & Systems: Maintain financial systems, membership database, donor database accuracy, and integrations with event platforms.

Compliance & Governance – 10%

· Audit Preparation: Support annual audit, prepare schedules, respond to auditor requests

· Policy Adherence: Ensure compliance with GAAP, association bylaws, and financial policies

· Recordkeeping: Maintain organized financial and administrative records.

Qualifications:

· Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, business administration, or related field

· 3–7 years of experience in nonprofit, association, or small‑organization finance

· Strong understanding of GAAP, nonprofit accounting, and financial controls

· Experience with membership databases, event registration systems, and ERP/accounting software – (Bill.com, QBO, iMIS)

· Excellent organizational, communication, and cross‑functional coordination skills

· Ability to manage multiple priorities in a mission‑driven environment.

Position Details:

· Job Type: Full-time

· Work Location: Hybrid position with occasional travel to the NASPGHAN national office in Spring House, PA.

· Expected Hours: 40 hours per week.
