Full Job Description

F/T Medical Receptionist: Busy Ophthalmic practice.

The ideal candidate will possess:

A strong attention to detail
Excellent communication and customer service skills
Excellent telephone/customer service skills.
Multi-tasking abilities
Can remain calm under pressure
Is a highly motivated self-starter
Can be flexible and adapt to change
Ability to work in a fast paced/team-oriented environment
A friendly and positive attitude
The ability to maintain confidentiality
Possess adequate transportation and travel between offices as required. Travel reimbursement between offices, provided.

Responsibilities including:

Patient check-in/out
Scheduling new/existing patient visits
Manage high phone call volume
Collect, process and balance patient payments
Monitor incoming faxes and make outgoing faxes
Pull Charts/File Charts
Prepare/work up patient charts
Scan documents into EMR
Process prescription refills
Call for prior authorizations & appointment reminders
Other duties as assigned
