Job Title: Legal Receptionist/Assistant Location: Santa Clarita, California

Employment Type: Part-time (30 hours) Entry-Level, In-Person

Time: Monday-Friday from 9:00 A.M. to 3:00 P.M.

Salary: $18.00-$20.00

Position Summary:

We are seeking a friendly, highly organized, and detail-oriented professional to serve as both Receptionist and Legal Assistant in our busy family law firm. The ideal candidate will be dependable and polished, with excellent communication skills and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment. This dual role involves being the first point of contact for clients and visitors, while also providing essential administrative and legal support to our attorneys and paralegals to ensure the smooth and efficient operation of daily legal activities.

Key Responsibilities:

Greet clients, visitors, and staff in a courteous and professional manner
Answer and route incoming phone calls promptly and efficiently
Handle inquiries in person, by phone, and via email
Schedule appointments, meetings, court appearances, and maintain attorneys’ calendars
Manage incoming and outgoing mail and deliveries
Maintain a clean, organized, and professional reception area, file room, and conference room
Provide general administrative support, including filing, data entry, and document management
Manage social media and website platform
Draft and proofread legal documents and correspondence, as requested
Organize and maintain case files, legal documents, and databases
Conduct basic legal research and compile relevant case information
File legal documents with the Courts
Communicate professionally with clients, courts, and other legal professionals

Qualifications:

High school diploma or associate’s degree required
Legal assistant/paralegal certification required
Experience in a law firm required
Previous experience in a receptionist or customer service role is required
Excellent verbal and written communication skills required
Strong organizational, multitasking, and time-management abilities required
Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and phone systems required
Professional appearance with a friendly, approachable attitude
Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion
Ability to work under pressure and time constraints
