POSITION SUMMARY:

Amada Senior Care is looking for a dependable, experienced Lead Caregiver to provide compassionate, hands-on care while serving as a point of contact and resource for a small group of approximately six caregivers.

This is not a management position. The Lead Caregiver will spend approximately 90% of their time providing direct client care and approximately 10% supporting the caregiver team. The Lead Caregiver helps keep communication clear, shares information with the office team, supports newer caregivers, and helps promote consistency and quality of care.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced caregiver who wants to take on a little more responsibility while remaining primarily focused on what they do best, providing exceptional care to clients.

What You'll Do: Direct Care — Approximately 90%

Build meaningful relationships with clients through companionship and compassionate care
Assist clients with personal care needs, including bathing, grooming, dressing, and other activities of daily living
Assist with meal preparation, light housekeeping, laundry, and other household tasks
Provide medication reminders and transportation when needed
Monitor clients for changes in condition, behavior, or needs and communicate concerns to the appropriate care team
Follow individualized care plans and company policies
Provide dependable, respectful, and consistent care that reflects Amada's standards

Lead Responsibilities — Approximately 10%

Serve as a primary point of contact and resource for approximately six caregivers
Help caregivers with day-to-day questions and provide guidance when they need assistance
Help newer caregivers become comfortable with client routines, expectations, and care practices
Promote consistency in how care is provided across the team
Share important client or caregiver updates with the office team
Help identify and communicate potential care concerns, scheduling issues, or changes in client needs
Encourage strong communication, teamwork, professionalism, and reliability among the caregivers you support
Assist the office team with gathering information and keeping communication organized
Lead by example through excellent client care, dependability, and professionalism

The Lead Caregiver does not have direct supervisory or disciplinary authority over other caregivers. Hiring, firing, scheduling decisions, performance management, and employee discipline remain the responsibility of the office/management team.

What We're Looking For

At least 2-5 year of caregiving experience preferred
Previous experience with in-home care, senior care, or similar caregiving preferred
Registered on California's Home Care Aide Registry
Negative TB test or chest X-ray
Ability to pass a background check
Valid driver's license, reliable vehicle, and auto insurance
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Reliable, organized, and comfortable taking initiative
Willingness to support and encourage other caregivers
Ability to maintain confidentiality and professionalism
A genuine passion for caring for others
Physical ability to assist clients and lift up to 24 lbs
