Full Job Description

Position Summary

Foulk Consulting Services is seeking a motivated and results-driven Director of Sales Operations to build and lead our sales function. This is a new leadership role for a growing software and IT services firm, offering the opportunity to shape sales strategy, develop a high-performing team, and drive company growth.

The Director of Sales Operations will oversee the sales team, lead new business development efforts, expand relationships with existing customers, and help establish scalable sales processes that support long-term success.

Key Responsibilities

Lead and manage the sales team, providing coaching, mentoring, and performance management to ensure individual and team success.
Develop and execute sales strategies to generate new business opportunities and achieve revenue growth targets.
Identify, pursue, and close new customer accounts within target industries and markets.
Expand relationships with existing customers by identifying additional service opportunities and ensuring high customer satisfaction.
Maintain and expand existing channel and software partner relationships to drive revenue growth.
Build and maintain a healthy sales pipeline, including forecasting, tracking, and reporting on sales activities and results.
Collaborate with leadership and technical teams to align sales efforts with company goals, service offerings, and customer needs.
Establish and refine sales processes, tools, and metrics to improve efficiency and scalability.
Represent the company at networking events, conferences, and client meetings to strengthen market presence and generate leads.
Prepare and deliver compelling presentations, proposals, and contract negotiations.
Monitor market trends, competitor activity, and customer feedback to identify growth opportunities and inform strategy.
Assist leadership team in developing market strategy and work with marketing team to implement strategy.
Manage sales department budget and spend.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Information Technology, or a related field preferred.
5+ years of experience in sales, with at least 2 years in a leadership or management role.
Proven track record of generating new business and achieving sales targets, preferably in software, IT services, consulting, or technology solutions.
Strong leadership, coaching, and team development skills.
Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-building abilities.
Experience with CRM systems, sales forecasting, and pipeline management.
Salesforce experience preferred.
Ability to understand and communicate technical solutions to both technical and non-technical audiences.
Self-starter with strong organizational skills and the ability to thrive in an agile, growing company environment.
Proximity to major US airport and ability to travel up to 50%.
