Overview:

You help set the tone for a positive experience for patients, families and visitors. As you work as a volunteer services coordinator supporting the recruitment & training of volunteers and development of volunteer programs and events, you make a difference in the lives of those we touch. In short, you exemplify the Legacy mission of making life better for others.

Legacy Salmon Creek Medical Center is Southwest Washington’s most modern hospital, offering the latest technology in a setting designed for comfort and care for the whole family. We feature innovations in joint replacement, robotic surgery, pelvic health for women, cancer care, intensive care for newborns, neurosurgery, medical care for children and more.

Responsibilities:

The Volunteer Services Coordinator is responsible for planning, developing, directing, evaluating, coordinating and administering volunteer resources.
Develops partnerships with Volunteer Services and the community, employees, patients, patient’s families and residents.

Qualifications:

Education: Bachelor’s degree or equivalent

Experience:

Minimum 1 to 2 years previous experience in related field required.
Prior supervisory experience, prior hospital experience, and prior experiences in a 503(c) organization preferred.

Knowledge/Skills:

Excellent organizational, verbal and written communication skills
Excellent interpersonal and conflict resolution skills
Keyboard skills and ability to navigate electronic systems applicable to job functions
