About us

Myrtha Pools USA is looking for an Accounting Assistant to add to our growing team.

With a unique patented technology manufactured in Italy, Myrtha Pools USA is a leader in the aquatic industry. From municipalities to universities and hospitality, our swimming pools can be found in the most prestigious venues across the country. As the North American division, we represent the Myrtha Pools brand by sharing the passion for aquatics and the expertise in our unique technology.

Our company is in need of a well-organized, detail oriented Accounting Assistant to support our team of professionals. The ideal candidate for this position has good coverage of phone and email communications, excellent organizational skills and a strong work ethic.

The position is in person at our office in Sarasota, FL. Remote work is not offered for this position.

Responsibilities

Process accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions in a timely and accurate manner.
Prepare, review, and process vendor invoices, customer invoices, credit memos, and payments.
Reconcile bank accounts, credit card statements, and general ledger accounts.
Maintain accurate financial records and ensure all supporting documentation is properly filed.
Assist with monthly, quarterly, and year-end closing procedures.
Monitor outstanding receivables and assist with collections as needed.
Process employee expense reports and verify compliance with company policies.
Handle confidential information with discretion.
Provide general support to visitors and team members.
Provide support and assistance to Director of Operations and Finance.
General office duties (front desk, mail).

Education and Experience:

2-3 years of professional working experience in accounting or administration.
Studies/background: accounting, preferably with swimming background or experience in swimming pools.
Languages: fluent in English, preferred second language Spanish
Available to travel for short periods of time in the USA and Caribbean. Occasional travels overseas (Italy).
Office 365 suite and apps, Adobe, QuickBooks.
