Full Job Description

College Street Dental is looking for a friendly, reliable, punctual, and well-organized Dental Receptionist to join our team.

We are seeking someone who enjoys working with patients, communicates well, and can help manage the daily front office flow in a busy dental office. The ideal candidate is self-motivated, flexible, able to multitask, and willing to learn and grow with our office.

Responsibilities

Answer phone calls in a professional, friendly, and helpful manner
Call patients to schedule appointments and help fill openings in the schedule
Confirm upcoming appointments
Verify dental insurance eligibility and benefits
Understand and communicate basic dental insurance information, including HMO, PPO, and Denti-Cal plans
Check copays, deductibles, frequency limitations, and coverage details
Collect patient payments, copays, and balances due
Explain estimated patient portions clearly and professionally
Post payments accurately in the dental software system
Update patient information and maintain accurate records
Coordinate with doctors, assistants, hygienists, and specialty departments
Help keep the schedule organized, productive, and efficient
Support the front office team and assist with other administrative duties as needed
Provide excellent customer service and help patients feel welcomed and cared for

Qualifications

Dental front office experience preferred
Experience with insurance verification strongly preferred
Knowledge of HMO, PPO, and Denti-Cal dental plans preferred
Strong phone and communication skills
Friendly, professional, and patient-focused attitude
Reliable, punctual, and dependable
Flexible and willing to help where needed
Well-organized and detail-oriented
Strong multitasking skills
Self-motivated and able to complete tasks without constant supervision
Motivated to learn, improve, and grow with the office
Positive attitude and willingness to be trained
Team-oriented with a strong work ethic

Schedule

Full-time position, Monday thru Friday. 8:30 - 5:30
