Responsibilities

Tax Services

Prepare Federal and California Individual (1040) Tax Returns
Assist with Partnership, S Corporation, Corporate, Fiduciary, Estate, and Gift Tax Returns
Organize client tax information
Prepare tax workpapers
Perform basic tax research
Assist with IRS and State tax notices

Accounting Services

General ledger accounting
Bank reconciliations
Prepare journal entries
Financial statement preparation
Payroll tax reporting
Sales tax reporting
QuickBooks accounting support

Client Service

Communicate professionally with clients
Assist senior accountants and partners
Develop strong client relationships
Continue expanding your accounting and tax knowledge

Qualifications

Required

Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or related field, or equivalent accounting coursework
Entry-level to 3 years of public accounting experience
Tax preparation experience or completion of a tax preparation course
Strong accounting knowledge
Excellent communication skills
Strong attention to detail
Positive attitude and willingness to learn

Preferred

Experience with QuickBooks
Experience with Microsoft Excel
Experience with ProSeries Professional Tax Software
EA, CPA Candidate, or interest in pursuing professional certification

Compensation

Salary: $65,000 – $90,000 annually

Salary is based upon education, experience, technical skills, and certifications.
