Job Overview

We are seeking a motivated and energetic Prep Cook/Line Cook to join our dynamic culinary team. In this role, you will play a vital part in delivering high-quality, delicious meals by preparing ingredients, cooking dishes to perfection, and maintaining a clean and organized kitchen environment. Your enthusiasm for food preparation and commitment to safety standards will help ensure an exceptional dining experience for our guests. This position offers an exciting opportunity to develop your culinary skills while working in a fast-paced, team-oriented setting.

Responsibilities

Prepare ingredients according to recipes and menu specifications, ensuring consistency and quality in every dish
Cook menu items efficiently while adhering to food safety and sanitation standards
Operate kitchen equipment such as ovens, fryers, slicers, and food processors safely and correctly
Maintain cleanliness of workstations, utensils, and cooking equipment throughout shifts
Assist with food plating and presentation to meet established standards
Follow proper food handling procedures to prevent cross-contamination and ensure freshness
Communicate effectively with kitchen staff to coordinate meal preparation and service flow

Requirements

Previous experience in a dietary department or dietary aide role is highly desirable
Proven food service or restaurant experience with knowledge of food industry best practices
Strong knife skills with proficiency in slicing techniques and ingredient preparation
Familiarity with menu planning, recipe adherence, and meal preparation processes
Understanding of safety standards in production environments and food safety management practices
Ability to operate various kitchen equipment efficiently and safely
Excellent communication skills for effective teamwork within the kitchen environment
Knowledge of catering processes and experience working in high-volume kitchens is a plus
