Residential Counselor

Stevens Treatment Programs

At Stevens Treatment Programs, we support adolescents navigating complex behavioral and mental health challenges—often rooted in trauma and adverse life experiences. Through a structured, trauma-informed residential and educational environment, we help young people build stability, resilience, and the skills they need to move forward with confidence.

The Role

As a Residential Counselor, you are a steady, reliable presence in a young person’s life. You’ll mentor, guide, and support youth through daily routines, challenges, and milestones—helping them build trust, confidence, and coping skills that last far beyond their time in our care.

You’ll work alongside clinicians and educators to bring individualized treatment plans to life in meaningful, practical ways.

What You’ll Do

Build supportive, consistent relationships with youth
Maintain a safe, structured, and therapeutic environment
Partner with clinical and education teams to support treatment goals
Coach youth in coping skills, emotional regulation, and daily living skills
Respond calmly and effectively during moments of crisis

Schedule Options

Full-Time: 2nd Shift 2pm-10pm
Relief / Fill-In Opportunities Available 8am-4pm / 2pm-10pm & Shorter Shifts Available

We prioritize balance and sustainability—your time outside of work is respected.

Qualifications

High School Diploma or GED
Valid Driver’s License with acceptable driving record
Successful background check (EEC)
Experience with adolescents or special populations preferred, but not required

Compensation

$19.50 – $21.50/hour (based on experience, education, and schedule)
+$1.00/hour for bilingual Spanish fluency
Up to +$1.00/hour additional for medication administration
