Pastry Chef (Full-Time)

Pay: $18.00–$25.00 per hour (Based on Experience)

Location: Sterling, VA

About Merone's Catering

Merone's Catering is one of the Washington, D.C. area's premier catering companies, specializing in private aviation, corporate catering, weddings, and luxury events. We are seeking a talented, creative, and dependable Pastry Chef to join our growing culinary team.

If you have a passion for creating exceptional desserts and enjoy working in a fast-paced, professional kitchen, we'd love to hear from you.

Responsibilities

Prepare a variety of pastries, cakes, cookies, breads, desserts, and specialty baked goods.
Produce desserts for private aviation, corporate events, weddings, and catering orders.
Decorate and finish pastries with exceptional attention to detail and presentation.
Follow recipes while maintaining consistency, quality, and portion control.
Assist in developing seasonal desserts and new menu items.
Package desserts for catering orders and retail presentation.
Maintain a clean, organized, and sanitary workstation.
Follow all food safety, sanitation, and HACCP standards.
Assist with other kitchen production as needed.

Qualifications

Minimum of 3 years of professional pastry or bakery experience required.
Strong knowledge of pastry production, baking techniques, and dessert presentation.
Experience in a professional bakery, restaurant, hotel, or catering kitchen preferred.
Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
Excellent organizational and time management skills.
Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
Must possess a valid driver's license.
Must be legally authorized to work in the United States.

Schedule

Full-Time
8-hour shifts
Day shift
Weekend availability as needed
