Full Job Description

Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Bookkeeper to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of accounting principles and practices, with proficiency in various accounting software. This role is essential for maintaining accurate financial records, ensuring compliance with GAAP, and supporting the overall financial health of the organization.

Duties

Manage day-to-day bookkeeping tasks, including accounts payable and accounts receivable
Prepare and maintain financial reports, including balance sheets and income statements
Perform bank reconciliations and account reconciliations to ensure accuracy
Process payroll and ensure compliance with tax regulations
Record journal entries and maintain the general ledger
Conduct budget analysis and assist in financial forecasting
Utilize accounting software such as QuickBooks, Quicken, Sage, Xero, and other financial software for efficient record-keeping
Ensure adherence to financial concepts and GAAP standards in all accounting practices
Assist with tax preparation and filing as required
Collaborate with management to analyze financial data and provide insights for decision-making

Skills

Proficient in QuickBooks, Quicken, Sage, Xero, and other accounting software
Strong understanding of corporate accounting, non-profit accounting, public accounting, governmental accounting, and technical accounting principles
Knowledge of double-entry bookkeeping, debits & credits, general ledger accounting, balance sheet reconciliation, and account analysis
Experience with budgeting, financial report writing, and payroll processing
Excellent 10 key typing skills for data entry accuracy
Strong analytical skills with attention to detail for accurate account reconciliation
Ability to communicate effectively with team members and management regarding financial matters
