New England Women's Healthcare is a full-service private practice dedicated to providing comprehensive women's health services. Our mission is to deliver exceptional gynecological care, prenatal and obstetric services, and personalized family planning in a supportive environment.
Summary

We are seeking a Liaison to join our dynamic team at New England Women's Healthcare in Woburn, Massachusetts. This role is vital in enhancing communication between patients and insurance companies to ensure accurate billing and payment processes. Key responsibilities include verifying insurance coverage, explaining billing details, including deductible and co insurance information, resolving payment issues, setting up payment plans and maintaining up-to-date patient accounts. This role requires strong interpersonal skills, knowledge of medical coding (CPT and ICD-10), familiarity with billing claims, and a thorough understanding of healthcare regulations.

Responsibilities

Facilitate communication between patients and healthcare providers to ensure clarity and understanding.
Contact insurance companies to verify patient eligibility, benefits, and financial requirements for services.
Answer patient questions about their bills, explain charges, deductibles, co insurance information and communicate with Practice Manager about billing-related concerns.
Address patient billing inquiries and concerns with professionalism.
Accurately document insurance and billing information in patient charts and create claims in our billing system.
Identify and suggest improvements to billing processes and workflows.
Participate in team meetings to discuss patient feedback and service improvements.

Qualifications

Strong understanding of medical billing processes, insurance protocols, and coding (ICD-10, CPT).
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to address and resolve billing disputes and complex insurance issues.
Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
Ability to work collaboratively within a healthcare team.
Previous experience in a healthcare setting is required. (OB/GYN field preferred)
Proficiency in using electronic health record systems
