Better Together ND is a vital Community Connect, Free Through Recovery, and 1915(i) provider for the State of North Dakota. We deliver essential care coordination, peer support, and recovery services, tailored to meet the specific needs of each individual participant.

Job description:

We are seeking a highly organized, compassionate, and professional Office Assistant to be the welcoming face and operational backbone of our downtown Fargo office. This critical role ensures smooth daily operations and provides crucial front-line support to our participants who are seeking to enroll in and navigate our life-changing programs.

Key Responsibilities

The ideal candidate will manage the front desk and administrative duties, with a core focus on positive participant interaction and streamlined office support:

Participant & Front Desk: Primary point of contact for walk-ins/inquiries; manage secure access; assist participants with program enrollment/applications; provide clear, compassionate service information; check in participants and connect them with Care Coordinators.
Administrative: Answer/screen all calls; maintain a tidy, welcoming reception area; manage incoming/outgoing mail; monitor and order office supplies.
Outreach: Conduct follow-up calls to potential clients; respond to website/Findhelp inquiries; connect potential clients with external resources.
Recruitment Support: Post jobs; review applications/phone screen; schedule interviews; manage background/reference checks.

Qualifications & Skills

High school diploma or equivalent required.
Associates Degree Preferred
Proven experience (2+ years) in a reception, administrative, or customer service role is highly preferred.
Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, with a friendly, professional, and empathetic demeanor.
Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and proven ability to manage complex paperwork accurately.
Proficiency with basic office equipment (multi-line phone systems, computers, and printers) and Microsoft Office Suite or Google Workspace.
A passion for serving the community and supporting individuals in recovery is a plus.
