Full Job Description

Thrive Support & Advocacy is seeking an experienced and enthusiastic applicant for a new position - Assistant Program Director for our Community Based Day Supports Program. This person will provide flexible support and leadership across our Adult Day and Employment programs.

Position Summary
The Assistant Program Director supports the oversight and daily operations of Community Based Day Supports (CBDS) programs, ensuring high-quality, person-centered services for all participants. This role works closely with the Associate Vice President of Community Services to maintain compliance, support staff, and ensure smooth program functioning across multiple sites. The Assistant Program Director will regularly float between assigned programs (one in Marlborough and one in Worcester) to provide coverage, leadership, and operational support as needed.

What You’ll Do

Assist in the coordination and daily operations of CBDS programs, ensuring appropriate staffing ratios and effective service delivery.
Float between program sites to provide coverage, leadership support, and continuity of care.
Support the planning and implementation of meaningful, community-based activities aligned with participants’ goals.
Support the team in the development, coordination, and implementation of monthly program calendars, ensuring activities align with participant goals and program objectives.
Attend Individual Support Plan (ISP) meetings and contribute updates, recommendations, and program insights.
Complete and oversee accurate data entry, including documentation in HCSIS and other required systems.
Supervise staff as needed, providing guidance, coaching, and performance feedback.

What We’re Looking For

Bachelor’s degree in Human Services, Social Work, Psychology, or a related field preferred (or equivalent experience).
Experience: Minimum of four years in employment services, vocational training, or a similar role; supervisory experience preferred.
Prior supervisory or leadership experience is strongly preferred.
Experience with HCSIS, ISP processes, and incident reporting systems preferred.
Medication Administration certification (or willingness to obtain).
Acceptable CORI and background checks, valid driver’s license, and the ability to work independently.
Strong organizational, leadership, and communication skills.
Strength in professional-level writing.
