Job Overview
This role focuses on complex subassemblies that often require the use of hoists, heavy-duty power tools, and precision measurement to meet strict industrial tolerances. The ideal candidate will possess strong mechanical knowledge, hands-on experience in manufacturing environments, and proficiency with various tools and equipment.
Responsibilities
- Assemble, position, and align heavy parts, subassemblies, and components, often utilizing cranes or hoists.
- Operate power tools, hand tools, and forklifts safely to facilitate assembly tasks
- Use mechanical knowledge to troubleshoot assembly issues and ensure proper fit and function
- Follow safety protocols consistently while working in a fast-paced manufacturing environment
- Collaborate with team members on the assembly line to meet production deadline
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, adhering to warehouse and factory safety guidelines
Experience
- Prior factory or manufacturing facility experience is highly preferred. Familiarity with assembly processes within a manufacturing environment
- Demonstrated mechanical aptitude with hands-on experience using hand tools and power tools
- Experience operating forklifts in a warehouse or industrial setting is desirable
- Strong attention to detail with the ability to follow detailed instructions accurately
- Ability to lift heavy items, stand for long periods, and perform repetitive, high-precision tasks.
