Full Job Description

The Swag is an acclaimed mountaintop luxury hideaway just steps from the Great Smoky Mountains National Park. The Swag was honored to join Relais & Châteaux in 2020. We continue to focus on providing guests with outstanding service and the restorative combination of epic natural beauty and authentic hospitality. The Swag is currently hiring for our Culinary Team with a seasonal full-time Cook I position available. We expect motivated employees with a passion to serve others. We offer growth and development to our employees while providing spectacular service to our guests. The Swag provides a magnificent work environment, above average pay rates, amazing learning opportunities with the best mountain views around.

Essential Functions – Culinary Cook I

Work in a manner that aligns with our Mission Statement: "Improving lives through genuine care."

Welcome guests and employees to The Swag and tell our story.
Create and provide a memorable guest experience.
Maintain kitchen sanitation in accordance with the health department guidelines and always practice safe food handling.
Ensure menu is set for service prior to guest arrival
Required to learn all menu items.
Oversee staff meal.
Assist the Executive, Sous and Pastry Chefs with day-to-day operations.

Minimum requirements:

· A strong desire to provide memorable, authentic service. Previous restaurant experience, excellent people skills with friendly attitude. Willingness to learn and grow culinary knowledge.

· Experience in fast paced, high quality culinary environment.

· Ability to multi-task

· Flexible schedule including working weekends and holidays.

Physical Requirements:

· Ability to work varied shifts based on occupancy, sitting, standing, walking, and bending. Lift /move/carry up to thirty pounds alone and greater with assistance.
