West Indies Vacation Rentals is one of the largest and fastest-growing vacation property management companies in the Caribbean. Our mission is to provide high-quality, reasonably priced lodging to guests and deliver the best possible returns to our property owners. West Indies offers a fast-paced work environment that offers tons of work flexibility (hours and location) but requires 24-7 availability. We value team members that are entrepreneurial, ambitious, flexible to varying work needs, and are not satisfied with anything less than 5-star results.

This position will be managing properties in Dorado and nearby municipalities. You will be able to work from home and have flexible work hours, but must be within a reasonable commuting distance to visit properties in the area 5 days a week.

Job Description

Vacation Property Managers are in charge of the following:

Guest Management: Once guests arrive in Puerto Rico, they are in the hands of the Guest Service Manager. Guest Service Managers reach out to each guest 48 hours before arrival to ensure guests are crystal clear on the check-in process. Vacation Property Managers must be 100% available for guests during their stay to quickly attend to any issues that may arise. You will be handling around 40 check-ins per week.
Property Management: Maintain all West Indies properties in top condition. This includes repairing any items damaged from wear and tear and, more importantly, ensuring that properties are in a constant state of improvement. It is the Vacation Property Manager’s responsibility to constantly ask the question “How can this property be even better?” and execute. You will have a handyman directly reporting to you and will have access to the West Indies housekeeping division and external maintenance suppliers. You will have about 30 properties under management.
Owner Management: The owners of the properties we manage are as important as the guests that stay in them. Property owners expect their property to be kept in top condition, and they expect the highest returns possible. This means that owners will be keeping an eye out for unnecessary expenses and will want to see us charging the highest nightly rates possible. It is the Guest Service Manager’s job to be the single point of contact for the Property Owners. You will be handling about 20 Property Owners.

Responsibilities and Duties

Be the direct contact of guests and owners for 35-45 properties
Maintain guests comfortable and satisfied
Maintain properties in excellent condition
Manage our relationship with property owners
Prepare new properties for inclusion in the rental program
Execute check-out and cleaning inspections
Manage any other tasks and projects assigned by management

REQUIREMENTS

Job Location: Office in San Juan and properties in Dorado and nearby municipalities
Excellent English
Excellent interpersonal skills
Excellent tech skills - specifically email, Slack, Excel/Gsheets
Availability to work on weekends is a must
Passion for customer service
Preferably a degree in Business or Hotel Management
Ability to self-manage time
Fast-paced worker
Flexibility to take on projects that are out of the basic job description
