Full Job Description

Position Overview

The Outdoor Pool Manager serves as the on-site leader responsible for the comprehensive oversight, administration, and daily operation of the club’s facilities. This role ensures exceptional resident and member experience, operational excellence, regulatory compliance, and disciplined staff leadership. Acting as Nuva Amenity Management’s on-site representative, the Manager maintains consistent communication with property management and Nuva’s senior leadership while upholding the highest standards of service, safety, and professionalism.

Primary Responsibilities

Direct and oversee the daily operation of the swimming pool and outdoor pool facilities, including member and guest check ins.
Maintain a safe, clean, and professionally presented environment at all times.
Conduct daily walkthroughs and inspection protocols.
Recruit, hire, train, schedule, supervise, and evaluate all club personnel.
Establish and communicate clear performance expectations and enforce operational standards.
Lead onboarding and ongoing staff training programs. Regular training includes topics such as emergency response procedures, opening and closing protocols, club policies and procedures, incident reporting, pool chemical testing and documentation, health inspection readiness, and customer service standards.
Ensure adequate staffing coverage during all operating hours, with leadership presence during peak usage periods.
Maintain full compliance with all applicable regulations set forth by the New York City Department of Health and all relevant local and state authorities.
Respond promptly and professionally to emergencies and critical incidents.
Address resident and member inquiries and concerns in a timely, diplomatic, and solution-oriented manner.
Provide operational updates and performance insights to ownership as requested.

Secondary Responsibilities

Ensure proper documentation and retention of incident reports, chemical logs, attendance records, and operational reports.
Deliver anticipatory, white-glove service to residents and members while maintaining professional boundaries.
Conduct regular staff meetings and performance evaluations.
Prepare and submit required reports, including: pool chemical readings and compliance documentation, incident reports, staffing schedules and payroll documentation.

Qualifications

Minimum of 2 years of management experience in a residential or aquatic environment.
Working knowledge of swimming pool systems, filtration, and chemical balancing and an understanding of Department of Health regulatory compliance and ability to be around pool chemicals.
Current Lifeguard, CPR, and AED certification.
Ability to remain on feet for extended periods and to work outdoors as required by operational needs.
Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
Ability to work mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays as operationally necessary.
Must be reachable for urgent operational matters and emergency response situations.
Excellent communication, conflict resolution, and organizational skills with leadership and team development experience.

Pay: $27.00 per hour

License/Certification:

Lifeguard/CPR/First Aid/AED certification (Required)
