Job Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Data Warehouse Architect with expertise in Azure Fabric to join our innovative data management team. This role involves designing, developing, and maintaining scalable, secure, and efficient data warehouse solutions that support advanced analytics and business intelligence initiatives. The ideal candidate will leverage their deep understanding of cloud-based architectures, big data technologies, and data modeling to enable seamless data integration and accessibility across diverse platforms. This position offers an exciting opportunity to lead complex projects, optimize data workflows, and contribute to strategic decision-making processes through robust data architecture.

Duties

Lead the design and implementation of enterprise-wide data warehouse solutions utilizing Azure Data Lake, Azure Fabric, and other cloud services.
Develop comprehensive data models and schemas that support analytical and operational reporting requirements.
Architect scalable ETL processes using tools such as Informatica, Spark, and custom scripts in Java, Python, or Bash to facilitate efficient data ingestion from various sources including NoSQL databases, Oracle, SQL Server, and Hadoop ecosystems.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define data governance standards, ensure data quality, and implement best practices for database design.
Optimize big data processing workflows leveraging technologies like Hadoop, Spark, and Azure Data Lake for high-performance analytics.
Integrate linked data principles to enhance semantic interoperability across disparate datasets.
Provide technical leadership on database design, SQL optimization, and NoSQL implementations to support diverse analytics needs.
Stay current with emerging cloud technologies such as AWS alongside Azure to recommend innovative solutions for scalable data architecture.
Participate actively in Agile development cycles to deliver iterative enhancements aligned with business priorities.
Document architecture designs, workflows, and procedures to facilitate maintenance and knowledge sharing.

Skills

Extensive experience designing and deploying large-scale data warehouses using Microsoft SQL Server, Oracle, or similar relational databases.
Strong proficiency in cloud platforms such as Azure Data Lake, Azure Fabric, and AWS cloud services.
Deep understanding of big data frameworks including Hadoop ecosystem components (HDFS), Spark, and related processing engines.
Proven expertise in ETL development using Informatica or equivalent tools; strong scripting skills in Java, Python, Bash (Unix shell).
Knowledge of NoSQL databases such as Cassandra or MongoDB; familiarity with linked data concepts for semantic integration.
Expertise in data modeling techniques for both relational and non-relational databases; experience with database design best practices.
Familiarity with Agile methodologies to manage project lifecycles efficiently.
Solid understanding of analytics tools and techniques to support business intelligence initiatives.
Ability to communicate complex technical concepts clearly across technical teams and stakeholders. This role offers a dynamic environment where innovation meets strategic impact.
