Unfortunately, my experience with Barbour Orthopaedics was incredibly disappointing. The environment is toxic, with leadership that fosters fear rather than support. One of the doctors was known to frequently yell at both staff and patients—completely unacceptable and unprofessional behavior in a medical setting.

The clinic seems to rely heavily on personal injury cases, creating an assembly-line feel where patient care often takes a back seat to volume and billing. Employees are treated as disposable, and there's a clear lack of genuine concern for their well-being or development. Turnover is high, morale is low, and the culture reflects that. You are forced to do procedures that are tracked on a dashboard .

If you're looking for compassionate care or a healthy place to work, I’d strongly recommend looking elsewhere.

Working at Babrour Orthodontics has been a positive experience overall. The team is friendly, collaborative, and genuinely cares about both patients and each other. The office maintains a fast-paced environment, but it’s rewarding to see the impact of the work on patients’ confidence and smiles.

Management is approachable and open to feedback, and there are good opportunities to learn and grow within the role. Training was helpful, especially for getting comfortable with systems and patient interactions.

Like many busy practices, some days can feel hectic, but the team does a great job supporting one another. Overall, it’s a great place for someone who enjoys working with people and being part of a team-oriented environment.

I’ve worked in some chaotic places before, but this one takes the cake. The culture here is beyond toxic—it’s radioactive. Management thrives on fear, gossip is a currency, and accountability only exists when there’s someone to throw under the bus.

Any attempt to ask questions was met with eye rolls or passive-aggressive Slack messages. Feedback was rare—unless you count being berated in front of your coworkers.

There’s zero work-life balance. You're expected to answer emails at all hours, And don’t even think about using your PTO—requesting time off is treated like a personal betrayal.

If you value your mental health, self-esteem, or even basic human decency, do yourself a favor and stay far away from this place.



I got along well with my direct coworkers at the front desk but management plays favoritism and their rules for being a part of the front desk team are a bit ridiculous. The HR team, supervisors, and veteran medical assistants are all very messy. Many of them seem to look down on the front desk team as if they're less than them and seem to get a kick out of the fact that one of the front desk team rules is to stand up every time someone passes the front desk no matter if it's a patient or fellow staff member.

The practice is such a  great place to work. We are treated like people and each of us gets to even have a quarterly bonus no matter your position! Not only that we get to create our own bonus goals. They care about us and treat us like family. 

We just had an engagement survey and everyone was so positive. 

Not a good place for development. This company will take advantage of their employees and will make them do other deparment's tasks. They don't care about the wellbeing of their employees. 

Coworkers great  got along well no issues but upper management wasn’t good. Boss always blames you for someone else’s mistakes. They don’t promote people that have given them blood sweat and tears with out any issues and have mastered jobs

My supervisor is lacking experience and knowledge and wants to punish me for being sick, no one to fill in for you when sick all the work piles up! stay far away I would never recommend to friend or family member even to get experience, the management is very poor and disorganized organization, and then you get punished for doing your job the way they told you to! 

I love my job and the people I work. I feel good about helping patients and giving them the best experience possible. Everyone I work with cares. 
Its nice to come to work and everyone does their best. We are a family.
