I would begin my day by logging into my computer and phones systems so I would  be prepared for the first call at the beginning of my shift.  I would often assist  patient by phone and/or in person with refills for prescriptions, scheduling appointments and follow up appointments, verifying medical insurance and patient information to insure everything is current and correct. I would also contact the nurse and Doctor's for permission of refills and urgent appointments. I would also route Mental Health Patients to the appropriate therapist for assistance with their needs.

While working in this facility, I learned new computers systems such as EPIC.  I also leaned to have compassion for those with mental illness and to emphasize with people who are having a hard time dealing with the realities of life. 

The management there was awesome, the culture in the office was all inclusive.  I felt heard and seen.

The hardest part of this position was knowing how hard it was for some of our patients, but it was also most rewarding for me to find resolution that could help the patient.

Management was very poor and out of touch with the social service world. We were without managers for a while and then before i transitioned to another job they hired a clinical supervisor who didnt have a clue on how to properly supervise. I believe the agency only hired her because she  had a LPC. She was lacking supervsion and case management skills. She wasn't personable naturally to be a supervisor and often would make sly statements when one on one. The clinical supervisor seem to be a little lazy as well. I think i would've stayed had they hired better management. I had already had a negative experience with the previous supervisor but at least she knew the care coordination world. We didnt have laptops or even WiFi. The agency was and still is behind in time. My co workers were great. I curently work for an agency that listens to their care coordinators. Our time isn't mirco managed as long as we make deadlines. We have laptops to use at home and in the community. If you are straight out of college apply, but get your one year( at most) experience and move on.

I'm a peer specialist who worked with Outreach's TCM team. The people I worked with were great, from my co-workers to my supervisors to organizational leadership. Work place was very supportive and organized. Boundaries and expectations were clear. Supervisors care about employee well-being and encourage appropriate work/life balance. I was paid fairly for my position. By my approximation (via examining hundreds of peer specialist job postings throughout the state) Outreach paid me better than a majority of peer specialist positions in Wisconsin. Plenty of remote work, and also nice to be in the office with co-workers. 

I would have never left my position, but I was offered something out-of-the-blue with a pay raise that I could not refuse. 

Very poor supervision by nurse-practioner of far more experienced psychiatrist. Deluged by paperwork with little warning. No interest and little knowledge by those in authority in clinical processes. Would never have worked here had I any idea of the clinical incompetence of leading management. Can't answer re CEO because in 18 months there never met her. Places prescribing psychotropics should have much more psychiatric input, but what psychiatrist would be willing to work there in such a toxic environment?

I have seen advancements after being here less than a year, and compensation is generally higher than the industry average, which shows value. The environment shows people who generally want to see good things happen and are committed to demographics that are dismissed by systems with similar visions and mission statements. I feel great working toward a common purpose that has more participants than anywhere I have been previously 

I liked the program that I worked for and had a very good team that I could connect with and get help. I worked with some negative Nancy's but thank goodness they left and it made it a better environment. I enjoyed going to meet consumers and had support from leadership staff. Turn over is high and it could be because of the push for performance and billing expectations. Supervisors are good and just let you do your job as long as you are doing what you are supposed to do. Supportive environment that allows staff to take the lead on cases. Able to work remotely and be very flexible with the schedule.

Learned about payee services, and billing. Great team work among co-workers. Hardest part is meeting the date line for the documentation requeired. I enjoy that I work from 8am to 4:30pm, compare to other salary jobs that I work 40+ hours almost everyweek.

I absolutely love it here!  The people are warm and community-focused.  They truly care about what they do and allow for creative ways to support patients.  Coworkers are friendly and welcome you as family.  I wish I didn't have to relocate, because I would work here forever.
