Accounts Payable Assistant (Part-Time)

Location: Holtsville, NY (Onsite)
Schedule: 15-20 hours per week
Pay: $21.00 per hour
Position Type: Part-Time, non-exempt
Benefits: Not eligible for company benefits

About the Role

We are seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Accounts Payable Assistant to support our accounting team in Holtsville, NY. This is an excellent opportunity for a recent college graduate or early-career professional looking to gain hands-on experience in accounting, finance, and administrative operations within a growing organization.

Key Responsibilities

Assist with invoice processing and data entry.
Support purchase order entry and related documentation.
Assist with credit card reconciliation activities.
Organize, scan, and electronically file accounts payable documents.
Maintain accurate vendor records and supporting documentation.
Review invoices for completeness and accuracy.
Collaborate with the Accounts Payable team to ensure timely processing of payments.
Perform general administrative and accounting support duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field preferred.
Recent graduates are encouraged to apply.
Prior office, administrative, or accounting experience is a plus but not required.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel and Outlook.
Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
Ability to handle confidential financial information professionally.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
