Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Registered Nurse (RN) to join our Operating Room team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in providing high-quality patient care before, during, and after surgical procedures. This position requires a strong understanding of surgical protocols, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team to ensure optimal patient outcomes.

Duties

Prepare patients for surgery by conducting pre-operative assessments and ensuring all necessary documentation is completed.
Assist the surgical team during procedures by providing direct patient care and monitoring vital signs.
Maintain a sterile environment by adhering to aseptic techniques and infection control protocols.
Administer medications and manage pain relief as per physician orders.
Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless surgical operations.
Educate patients and their families about post-operative care, recovery processes, and potential complications.
Document all nursing assessments, interventions, and patient responses in compliance with HIPAA regulations.

Skills

Proficient in working with individuals with disabilities and understanding their unique healthcare needs.
Knowledgeable in pain management techniques to effectively address patient discomfort.
Experience in memory care practices for patients requiring specialized attention.
Familiarity with cardiac catheterization procedures and sonography techniques.
Competent in medical imaging processes including CT scans.
Ability to perform phlebotomy as needed for patient assessments.
Strong organizational skills with attention to detail in maintaining accurate patient records.
